Hot Creek Hatchery
Domestic Water Treatment & Emergency Response
CTR Water has served as the primary water treatment contractor for the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) at the Hot Creek Hatchery since 2020. The facility utilizes a dual Multitech clarification/filtration system and a Hi-Flo GAC filter to supply safe potable water to CDFW buildings and staff residences. In August 2023, following a severe lapse by an alternate contractor, the hatchery faced an immediate crisis without a licensed operator. CTR Water rapidly mobilized under an emergency state directive to restore proper plant operations, preventing serious health risks to residents and securing a long-term contract extension through 2026.
