Granite Bay State Park

WWTP Engineering Consultation & Groundwater Monitoring

From 2019 to 2022, CTR Water provided expert engineering consultation and compliance support for the Granite Bay State Park Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), operated by the California Department of Parks and Recreation. The facility utilizes two leach field treatment systems surrounded by seven groundwater monitoring wells, receiving diverse effluent from day-use restrooms, state park offices, lifeguard facilities, and fast-food concessionaires. Serving as the project’s technical expert, CTR Water managed highly variable seasonal flows—ranging from 4,000 gallons per month in the winter to over 116,000 gallons during peak summer usage—ensuring continuous system performance and regulatory compliance.
