Lake Mendocino Recreation Area

WWTP Operations & Environmental Consultation

From 2019 to 2021, CTR Water provided operational support and environmental engineering consultation for the Lake Mendocino Recreation Area Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Designed to treat 0.02 million gallons per day (MGD) of wastewater from the Kyen campground, Marina, and Pomo day-use areas, the facility utilizes extended aeration and chlorine contact disinfection. Acting as the project’s technical expert, CTR Water ensured continuous system performance, regulatory reporting, and compliance troubleshooting for the facility’s discharge network.
