Los Piños Center

OWTS Operations & Emergency Facility Rehabilitation

The Los Piños Conservation Camp relies on a dedicated On-Site Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) to support its operations. In September 2024, the devastating “Airport Fire” swept through Trabuco Canyon, severely damaging the facility’s infrastructure, including the OWTS Control Room. Serving as the primary wastewater contractor for the California Conservation Corps since 2019, CTR Water led the emergency response and infrastructure rehabilitation, successfully rebuilding the entire plant and restoring full operational capacity by August 2025.
